The Amazing Mrs Livesey
She's here! This incredible woman who kept me enthralled for nearly two years as I investigated her misdemeanours and exploits during the first half of the Twentieth Century, is set for publication on the 24th Febraury 2016.
I delved into archieves, libraries, government departments around the world, met and interviewed people who knew her as children or whose families were touched by her, on my hunt for this elusive woman.
Whilst trying to find the birth certificate of a girlfriend's father, I was surprised to find scandalous details about her grandmother, Mrs Livesey. With over 40 aliases, eight official marriages and five divorces, she traversed the globe in style and luxury before she was exposed as an international confidence trickster after the failure of her high profile society wedding in post World War Two Sydney, and once again disappeared.
Ethel Livesey was one amazing gal!
